Attention getter

I would recommend this to anyone interested in psychology. This book explores the depth of love one can have for another, and how a person's weaknesses can be exploited .

Interesting and will hold your attention -alot of research but well written. On a scale of 1-5 it is no more than a 3.

Another really fine TRUE CRIME book from this author! He does a great job of analyzing transcripts and records, court proceedings, his own interviews and contacts, and more, and then combining them into his books. l

good book, story just okay.

Sad story and figured out the culprit within the first two chapters. That kind of made the rest of listening to the story a little harder. But was a good story and performed well.

You find yourself screaming with frustration and crying for the victim. I experienced so many other physical emotions while listening.

laugh? NO! cry? no, but it was a sad story about wasted lives.

Excellent

Watch out. This book can hurt you. I'm usually able to maintain a suitable distance between myself and the true crime stories I read. However, when I finished this book, I went to the victim's website and cried my eyes out. Good luck.

Not written well

As a few others committed, the author puts the victim on such a high pedestal and makes her so saintly, I was ready to side with her daughter to get the Hell away from her. The author needs to think about it, an ex husband & daughter couldn't stand the women, why is that if she's a Saint? It was annoying after awhile.

narration was a problem in that nattators

volume did not remain steady. it was extremely low at times, then back to normal, without any action on my part. it definitely was a problem.

"True?" Crime

The characters in this book were portrayed one dimensionally, one is good one is evil.. one is crazy. This is non-fiction, it's inexcusable, and instantly cheapens it to tabloid status.
If you're looking for depth, a little learning, not a cheap murder mystery this is *not* your book.
Narrator is not the worst I've heard but I'd really wish he'd not give a different voice to each person, it's sooo bad, they all sound like Simpsons characters.
