I would not waste a credit on this, and the fact that I did forced me to listen to the end. Multiple readers make it confusing to listen to and the story is bland. Dont bother....
I agree with other reviewers that multiple readers didn't help this book. It was a little hard to follow. It was short so kept my interest and I liked the twist at the end.
Another "cookie cutter" book. When I first started listening to this book and realized that it was not just read to me but has been "dramatized" by different readers, I was put off. Actually it kind of worked for this book, however the content is very poorly written and so predictable that at best it was barely a mere 2 stars rating from me. The only reason I gave it 2 stars is because I somehow managed to finish listening.....
I probably would not waste a book credit on this one......ho hum...
I really enjoyed this book. It kept me wanting to stay in the car. The first twist was surprising and interesting but the last one at the end simply was not understood. The multi-character narrative was a bit too much. I just didn't see the point of some of the characters and their narrations such as the brooklyn cop, Connie. Maybe I'm just missing something.
When I first started reading this book, I realized right away it would be unlike any other I'd read. I've been a long-time fan of James Pattersons books and have become acustomed to a particular standard for the quality of work he puts out. Well this latest masterpiece is truly one to exceed all expectations! Without a doubt, James Patterson has managed to release achillingly superb thriller that has more twists and turns in it than any rollercoaster cold ever hope to have! You'll never see the ending coming; there's no way on earth unless you've already been informed by someone else! The characters are stunning and perform nothing short of an all-out miracle, each and every one of them!!!
Like others have said, I didn't see this ending coming. I thought I had the story all figured out! This is one you must listen too. The characters are great! This is well put together and well read. Another great Patterson book!
Well worth it!
I love all of James Patterson's novels and this was the first one I listened to instead of reading. Great narration! Such incredible twists kept me tied to my earphones for for hours. I highly reccomend this book!
The story, although slow starting was well worth the listen, however, there were so many readers and voice changes that it was sometimes hard to follow. One good reader beats multiple average readers in my book
James Patterson is at the top of his game with this one. The violence was not as graphic as in some of his Alex Cross novels but maybe that is a good thing. This was an excellent story and true to the mystery genre its not over till it is over.
