Great story.... narration lacking.

I love this story. The narration is good until the narrator tries doing voices of other characters, especially the English, Scottish, and upper class Boston males. As the main character, the narrator is good, and even as an English woman she is tolerable. That being said I don’t think any single person of any gender could do Aunt Dimity justice.

Looking forward to more

This was a delightful story and I look forward to reading more of the series. The narrator was talented but I was a little tired of the multitude of accents. I listen to novels because it’s easier than reading for me but I don’t expect a play. One or two key voices is fine

Really, the narrator ruins this

I seriously thought the narrator was a robot. It's difficult to listen to. I haven't listened to many Audible books, now I know to check reviews about the narrator. You'd think Amazon could afford better voice talent.

Excellent story

This is one of my favorite books in the Aunt Dimity series. I found it after reading several others. Nice to know how it all began.

cozy mystery

Clean, warming, comforting.
I expected more drastic of a reason for Dimity's guilt. Still good.

A nice cozy mystery adventure

Narrator gives a good try at the various British accents (Cockney, BBC, etc.) and succeeds for the most part. The sweeping historical back story set during WWII carries you forward to the end.

quality

the narration was choppy, almost robotic. Bill's character was the worst. pronunciation was off on many words.

This is the VERY worst narration EVER!!!!

Would you try another book from Nancy Atherton and/or Teri Clark Linden?

Nancy Atherton, yes. Teri Calrk Linden - ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Aunt Dimity's Death?

Hard to say since the narration was soooo bad I tuned out to some parts.

What didn’t you like about Teri Clark Linden’s performance?

She reads like a school teacher teaching her 1st class of 1st graders and she has no clue what to do. I am please she has good diction but there is more to reading a story than diction. Phrasing, emotional conveyance, timing, fluctuation, etc., etc. etc.!!!

Could you see Aunt Dimity's Death being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Maybe?

Any additional comments?

GET A NEW NARRATOR! New to this series, READ the book - don't listen! This story might be really good, I'm just not sure due to the audio.

Performance nearly ruined the book.

I've decided to read the series because of the poor performance of the reader.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Lorie

How could the performance have been better?
