But after only a few visits, Miss Beacham suddenly passes away, leaving Lori to tie up the loose ends of her late friend’s life. Lori soon discovers that hidden among Miss Beacham’s belongings are clues that Lori believes her friend left for her to discover. Odd narration

Another gentle, pleasant mystery from Nancy Atherton. However, this narration is just very odd. Overly articulated, and slow with every “a” pronounced with a long “a” sound. Annoying. However, her character voices were fine with creativity and energy. Very puzzling approach. I stuck it out because I wanted to find how tale ended. But I won’t listen to another book with this narrator.

Heartwarming

This is the best book in the series. I like this quieter Lori, and was surprised in many places as the story unfolded. Love Aunt Smith more each book.

Aunt Dimity & the next of kin

I enjoyed this book in the Aunt Dimity series, the title is a bit deceiving, great storyline. I enjoyed the plot twist. I just love these Aunt Dimity stories and would recommend them. I have even gotten used to the narrator.
