“David Wood's Atlantis hits all the marks that a blockbuster should. With rapid-fire pacing, Wood gives you perhaps his greatest Dane and Bones adventure yet with a tale that spins and reels out of control with action. With elements of mystery, lost technology and a mythical city, this book reads like vintage Clive Cussler. His best yet!” (Rick Jones, Author of The Crypts of Eden)
“Flooded with action!” (Rick Chesler, author of Solar Island)
YES! Great story line! If you like National Treasure, you will like this story too!
There are so many memorable moments in this story. I loved the artifacts & cave scenes,. Also loved the concept that a machine from way back when could cause Tsunami's! WOW!!!
As far as I know, this is the 1st book I listened to by this narrator. He did a good job, delivered the story well, plenty of excitement!
Past & present collide with Mythology!
Excellent story! Well delivered. Loads of excitement. Murder, mayhem, mythology, puzzle solving, adventure, action-packed dangerous thrill ride!
David Wood has done it again. This latest story in the Dane Maddock Adventures is full of action, surprises, ancient mysteries and a little confliction in the team. A solid 5 star read. I look forward to listening to many more in this series. Kafer was on top form for the entire narration, he brings the characters to life as only he can.
These books are always great entertainment, and this one is no different. Full of great characters and relic hunting. Interesting locations and lore make this a great listen.
This book won't change your life, but it'll fill an afternoon well. I camr into this novel unfamiliar with the characters, as I picked it up on special. That was a little bit of a hurdle, but I really enjoyed the story anyway. The pacing was great, the story was entertaining, abd if you like action novels, this will fit on your "shelf" perfectly.
Not if it was as poorly written as this one.
Cut out the juvenile boyfriend/girlfriend banter and the "tough chick" attitude of the female characters.
I don't know if it was the narrator who detracted from the book or the material he had to work with was so poorly written. He seemed somewhat flat, but the dialogue is atrocious. He probably did his best with what was there.
I can't answer that fairly, as I could only stand to listen to about a third of it. I think that I'd reduce the number of primary characters to the two main male characters and the female archeologist.
The premise of the story had great potential for a good thriller. Unfortunately, the dialogue between characters and some of the characters themselves really ruined a good idea.
I do not own a print version.
Yes. There were turns in the story that kept me interested and guessing where things were going. The bad guys were crafty in the ways they worked to achieve their goals, and I didn't know for sure how things might end.
He gets the voices and inflected attitudes of Bones and Maddock just right.
I really enjoyed the wise cracks made by Bones.
Gorgeous book - rip roaring adventure - think Lara Croft combined with Raiders of the Lost Ark and I love loved love it yeehaw
