Always Good!

Would you listen to Another Man's Moccasins again? Why?

Yes, i enjoy Craig Johnsons writings and I enjoy listening to George Guidall read them!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Another Man's Moccasins?

When the Indian prisoner in the county jail told Walt what the initials BPS stood for. Priceless!

Which character – as performed by George Guidall – was your favorite?

Standing Bear

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes. I want to do all of Craig Johnsons's books this way - listen in one sitting. I now purchase the Kindle version as well as the audible version.

Love this book.

Craig Johnson is a masterful storyteller, and George Guidall is the perfect reader for this tale. I hope Mr. Guidall keeps reading many more, if not all, the Longmire audiobooks. Because I plan to keep reading.

Love these books

I'm a real fan of the TV series but even a bigger fan of the books. George Guidell is my favorite narrator, which makes these audio books that much better.

Anyone Remember Viet Nam?

I'm a Longmire fan and so enjoyed this one, as memories of his war years painfully show up in Montana. We get a glimpse of who he and Standing Bear were in that horrible senseless war.
The transitions between present crime and 1968 Viet Nam crime are so smooth one must listen carefully. For those of us who remember, the story brings back a time in history. For those who've hardly even heard of Viet Nam, the story still holds its own. Interesting characters, lively plot. For me, after some time, it's worth a second listen.

actually, 2 stories in one. extremely well written

the author does very well with blending detail into the story line without making it seem like detail which can be very boring.

Adding quite a bit to the history of Walt

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes, yes, yes. Some of the best writing I have found in decades. Characters I can see, I feel like I know them. The humor throughout adds so much to the enjoyment.

What other book might you compare Another Man's Moccasins to and why?

All those that came before in this series.

What about George Guidall’s performance did you like?

Come on, he's the best I have heard (although I thought Sissy Spacek's performance with To Kill a Mockingbird was spot on, perfect voice).

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, I don't like to leave these people too soon.

Nowhere is Too Small

What made the experience of listening to Another Man's Moccasins the most enjoyable?

George Guidall makes ANY book come to life. I do believe he could read the Medieval Housewife's Duties to her Husband & make it interesting. The story is very modern in a Western kind of way. Walt brings his slow moving, gentle understanding way to the problem & does it HIS way in the end. I love that about the books. And I love Vic too, of course!! hahaha

Have you listened to any of George Guidall’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I love George. I often buy books simply because he's the performer!!! George IS Walt Longmire.

Another great Longmire book

George Guidall has the perfect easy speaking voice that fits the character of Longmire and Henry is the best in his roll.

Good story and smiles

I didn't think the Longmire series would be for me, but gave A Cold Dish a try, and I was hooked. The characters are great offering some dead pan humor. The story was interesting, switching from present to Longmire's time in View Nam. Sometimes when a book switches venues often, it's hard to follow, but this wasn't. Everything in the Viet Nam segments applied directly to what was going on in the main story. If you're looking for fast moving, on the edge of your seat, this isn't it. But if you like a good mystery with interesting characters, I recommend this.

Really Well Done

This kind of writing is not easy-- flashback, etc. It's really, really well-done. I lived in Asia for a while and he got right. I could feel it and smell it. Seriously.
