Michaela, beloved wife and mother of two, lies in a coma. Doctors have told her husband Liam not to expect a recovery, but he maintains hope that love can accomplish what medicine cannot. Day after day, he sits by her bedside, holding her hand, sharing the stories of their life together.
Then he discovers the evidence of his wife's secret past - a long hidden first marriage to international movie star Julian True. When he sees photos of her glowing happiness with Julian, he knows the actor was more than simply Michaela's first husband. He was the love of her life. Liam senses that Julian is the one person who can bring her back to life, but at what cost? Can Liam love his wife enough to risk losing her to a man no woman could resist?

I am a HUGE Kristin Hannah fan, but this one fell short. I just could not connect with the characters. Pick another-Once in Every Lifetime is an excellent choice.
The story was slow and nothing special. Felt like a old Danielle Steele. Other books I have read from Kristin have been superior so maybe reason I was a little disappointed.
Good, liked him fine
Her other books were just superior
I would not. I'm a big fan of her writing but the narrator of this story sounded like a robot voice. I could hardly take it. I am very partial to female narrators of novels of this style. His voice drove me nuts and was very distracting from the story.
Great Love Story.
Liam was so wonderful to his wife - he would do anything for her and her health!
This is the first one I have listened by him and by a man for that matter. He did well - his female voices were somewhat amusing but he did well overall!
I thought the entire book was great and moving.... I like how they brought in her ex and seeing his transformation.
I recommend this book! Great Kristin Hannah book.
I just love Kristin Hannah's books, but I do wish the cursing words were not in there. I can understand if a few are there but I can't stand to hear the GD words.
I believe books could be written without such words. The story lines in her books are great.
