Over dinner, a record begins to play, and the voice of an unseen host accuses each person of hiding a guilty secret. That evening, former reckless driver Tony Marston is found murdered by a deadly dose of cyanide.
The tension escalates as the survivors realise the killer is not only among them but is preparing to strike again…and again.…

"Still a superb read!"
I don't normally go for older books myself as I often find the writing style and language used a put off, but this book has a timeless quality to it and was an easy read. Was sucked right in to the plot and loved going back to previous chapters to look for subtle clues. I was convinced I had deduced the murderer at least 3 times before the truth was revealed. The ending wasn't 100% convincing as an explanation if I am honest but a minor point. Narrator was superb and brought the many characters to life excellently.
The perfect - and possibly ultimate - whodunnit!
I have seen a couple of film versions of this over the years, so unfortunately did know what happens at the end but still loved very minute. If you do not know the twist, I envy you! You are in for such a treat!
A gripping story wonderfully read. Certainly worth adding to a ollection and I am sure I will listen again and again
really makes such a difference to have a quality narrator
enjoyed this audio book
"Agatha Christie at her best"
I have to say you cannot beat the old Mystery I had no idea who was behind the murders until I was told by the author
"Excellent mystery, I couldn't work it out"
Good voice acting, distinctive voices for the ten characters that weren't overdone. The story is excellent, I kept a tally of whom I thought the murderer might be but it didn't avail me in the end.
Great narration, great story, loved it, a really good atmospheric listen, and the narration adds to the high quality listening experience.
A story that still stands the test of time! Great narration that manages to keep you gripped to the very end!
Excellent performance by Dan Stevens; excellent story line by the greatest Agatha Christie. Enjoyed listening to the book.
I've read a lot of AC, but mostly Marple and Poirot, very few stand alone. I bought this because of the amazing BBC adaptation last year (well worth a watch by the way). The audiobook didn't disappoint. Absolutely gripping and read brilliantly. Sometimes I forget how masterful AC was!
