Great! As Usual!

Ms. Harris did an outstanding job with this series. One of my favorites! Wish she would have continued to make more.

Great Book. Great Story

Where does An Ice Cold Grave rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

#2

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

This book was full of twists and unexpected events. I was on the edge of my seat through most of this book.

What does Alyssa Bresnahan bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The narrators voice was pleasant and easy to listen to.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Harper (the main character) and her brother (not by blood) realized that not only were best friends - they were also in love with each other...

Another wonderful book from Harris!

I was so shocked to read this series after being a big Sookie reader, because while they're similar in the super natural stuff, they're nothing at all alike in terms of the writing...yet both are awesome. I really LOVED this series. Give it a try, read it in order.

Not Sookie - so don't expect it!

Its really good, odd and unusual like Sookie, but slower and more normal situations. I really enjoyed this book and I'm excited to listen to the next one.

True Storyteller

Any additional comments?

Harper Connelly is sophisticated compared to Sookie and has as much common sense. I enjoyed the entire series and wish there were more coming. Narration was quite good though it was hard at times to distinguish which character was speaking.

Love it!

I love the Haper Connely books but this is the one that I love to listen to over and over. It was great seeing the regular characters interact more with each other.

A twist on the paranormal.

I have never read any books in this series or by Charlaine Harris and did not realize that she was the author of the very popular Sookie Stackhouse series until after I started it. I thoroughly enjoyed the premise and fast moving story line. Quite an interesting twist to put on a paranormal book. After a young woman is struck by lightening she has the ability to find the dead and tell you how they died. She and her once step brother make a living at it while searching for her sister who was killed.

When they are hired by a grieving grandmother to find her grandson in a small town, it becomes clear that his body is going to lead them into an investigation to find a serial killer. Parts of the story get very grafic and there are sex scenes. Even though this was a very good book I wish I would have started with the first book because there are definitely parts that I had missed. Now that I have read this one, however, too much is revealed to start at the beginning so I will just move forward in the series.
