My favorite so far

What made the experience of listening to All Together Dead the most enjoyable?

I like the long series... i'm invested and I enjoy reading each book a little more because of that.

Any additional comments?

I started watching True Blood on HBO before reading the books. After season 4 I started reading the books from the beginning. I thought they were OK, I like the show, and the books gave more information about the characters and it was different enough that the show wasn't ruined for me. I found this book to be my favorite. It was more of a mystery/ "who dun it?" than previous books were. It was a little predictable (ok, maybe very predictable), but I enjoyed it very much.

Another Great Read

The latest in the "southern vampire" series is typical Charlaine Harris. Her characters are warm and well fleshed. This episode continues to follow Sooky with her misadventures? with the "supe" community of vamps, weres, fairys, demons, and the others.
The only detriment to this recording, I like the printed version slightly better. But there's nothing wrong with the audio version.

excellent performance from the narrator!!

I have listened to a couple different books and this by far is my favourite narrator! These books are excellent but she really bring them to life!

This was the most engaging story in the series yet!

The narrator is an absolute treasure (as per usual); protect this woman at all costs!

I also really appreciate that the books could be read as stand alone volumes, or as a series (better as a series and in order, of course); just the right amount of exposition to inform new readers, but no so much that current fans are bored by the repetition.

Good listen

This was not a first for me. I have read the book a couple of times. I greatly enjoyed the Audible. Johanna Parker did a good job of narration.

My favorite so far!

I started out as a fan of True Blood and then started reading the books. The first few were good, but I wasn't sure they'd hold my interest. They really started to grow on me as the characters developed and kept coming back time and time again. This one is my favorite so far - but you have to read them in order to get it! Don't skip, it's worth the wait! There were times I worried about Sookie while I was away from my audio - feeling like I left her stranded because I couldn't hear what happened next! That's what I love in an audio book. I can't wait to drive home and hear more.

A Can't Miss Read!

Sookie Stackhouse Series is a MUST read! I have listened/read all of the Sookie Stackhouse mysteries, 1 - 8. I enjoyed every single one of them. The writing is good, clear, suspenseful and humorous. The narrator, Johanna Parker, does some of the best narrating I have heard...exactly the way I would presume Sookie Stackhouse would sound. You can't go wrong with this series. I CAN'T WAIT until installment NINE!!

one of my favorite books in the Sookie series

This was actually one of my favorite books in the Sookie series. I love Eric and like the books where we get to know more about him. If you enjoyed the rest of the series then you should like this one as well. As always great narration and good plot.

Favorite so far!

I think this was my favorite book of the series - and I really liked most of the books in this series! The plot was very engaging, and suspenseful, and there was a lot of plotting and conniving to be figured out. There wasn't so much of the sex as in some of the other books, but it didn't take away from the story at all.

The story seemed much more mature than some of the earlier ones - there was actually a story involved, not just Sookie finding and/or losing her latest lover. Sookie is much more mature now, and the story had her having some growth too, so she's not as naive as she has been in other books. Quite nice, actually, to see a character still have some room to grow after 7 books.

The narration is spot-on.

It was a really terrific story...I think one of the best so far....and the narration was spot on!!!!

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes!!! It left me wanting more and more and more...I was dying to know what was going to happen next!!

Which scene was your favorite?

I really think the search for survivors scene near the end...Sookie is such a great heroine!!!!!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Sookie undresses Barry, and cleans him up really made me love her more...and how she saved so many people....she was great!

I really loved this addition to this series...and am starting #8 now....2 big thumbs up!!!!
