Awsome

This book had so much. Aliens, telepaths, wereanimals, parties, bombs, so much. Sookie goes with the queen to help her and all hell breaks loose. So much.

Paranormal House Party

Picked this one outside my usual TBR lottery because we’re finally getting around to watching TrueBlood. While it’s not my favorite so far, I love the visuals Charlaine Harris provides, though the level of detail is just a bit more than I care for. We ended up dumping the TV series after the first season because of the gore--just nasty (but the sex was good). The meat of this one is a kind of contemporary “house party” tale at the vampire summit. Once I got the TV Sookie out of my head, I enjoyed the listen more. Not that the TV Sookie was bad, I just like the audiobook better. I had the same experience with the Harry Potter books on audio (SO much better than the movies). Anyway, poor Sookie just seems to get deeper into the crap. Love Quinn, hope that works out. Of course, I love Eric too, and feel kinda sorry for Bill…

The names

She doesn’t know their names. Catfish’s last name is Hennessy but she calls him catfish hunter. She calls Sophie Ann LeClerque, LeClare. I don’t understand.

Loved this as I do all of the Stackhouse books.

If you could sum up All Together Dead in three words, what would they be?

Explosively fun read

Who was your favorite character and why?

I can't choose a favorite character. I mean, I love Sookie because she is strong but has her weaknesses. She is a character with a sense of humor but I think I am beginning to enjoy Eric's character more with every book that is written. He is becoming a complex character.

What does Johanna Parker bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Johanna Parker brings this book to life. She gives Sookie a voice and personality that I have fallen in love with. I will continue to listen to every single book in the series because Johanna does such a beautiful job with accent and voice inflection.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I listened to this book in 2 days only because I have a 3 month old who needs me to feed and play with him.

Happy I found Sookie

I am a 49 year old male who loves Sookie. Being a life long Dark Shadows fan this series of books is great. It's entertaining, funny, sad. I will admite when it reaches the bedroom I fast forward, but other than that I am enthralled.

Vampire Summit? I'm in!

If you could sum up All Together Dead in three words, what would they be?

Vampire Summit shenanigans.

What did you like best about this story?

I liked this book the best of the whole series, potentially. The Vampire Summit was an interesting premise and Queen Sophie Anne was around often.

Which scene was your favorite?

The scene when Sookie is holding the soda can in the hallway is my favourite scene.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scene when Sookie is rushing to save Eric and Pam from the pyramid was very touching because Sookie was heroic and emotional all at the same time. I feared for Eric and Pam. It was a tense scene.

Any additional comments?

The Vampire Summit was fantastic and any appearance of Queen Sophie Anne is completely welcomed by me.

sassy and suspenseful

For fans of Sookie Stackhouse this is a great time. The narrator does a great job carrying the momentum of the book. The fast paced plot grabs and hold a listener's attention.

It was over too soon!!

Loved it. Narration was great. Harris' books feel a little short though!! Can't wait to read the next one.
