Publisher's summary

Just a generation ago this place was called America. Now, after the worldwide implementation of UN-lead program called Agenda 21, it's simply known as the 'Republic'. There is no president. No congress. No Supreme Court. No freedom.

There are only the Authorities.

Citizens have two primary goals in the new Republic: to create clean energy and to create new human life.

Those who cannot do either are of no use to society.

This bleak and barren existence is all that 18-year-old Emmeline has ever known. She dutifully walks her energy board daily and accepts all male pairings assigned to her by the Authorities. Like most citizens, she keeps her head down and her eyes closed.

Until the day they came for her mother.

Woken up to the harsh reality of her life and her family's future inside the Republic, Emmeline begins to search for the truth. Why are all citizens confined to ubiquitous concrete living spaces? Why are Compounds guarded by Gatekeepers who track all movements? Why are food, water and energy rationed so strictly? And, most important, why are babies taken from their mothers at birth?

As Emmeline begins to understand the true objectives of Agenda 21, she realizes that she is up against far more than she ever thought. With the Authorities closing in, and nowhere to run, Emmeline embarks on an audacious plan to save her family and expose the Republic - but is she already too late?

A good look at the extreme result of Agenda 21

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes I would, while I am all about taking care of our earth, we must do so with balance. This books helps you to see the direction that local and even the federal government is slowly taking. While I saw slowly, it could easily become quickly and drastic.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Agenda 21?

There were several but hard for me to write down, I enjoyed the detailed descriptions of the people envolved and of course the Afterward.

What about January LaVoy’s performance did you like?

Unlike a few others, I though she did a good job, it was easy to listen to, and she gave depth to the people she discribed. I even enjoyed her "man" voice.

Long Road for the End!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I do not recommend this title. It was a long story for the point, probably not book material, a short essay.

Would you ever listen to anything by Glenn Beck again?

Yes, and I have in the past.

What does January LaVoy bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

If it wasn't for her, I would have given up! Great Story Teller.

Do you think Agenda 21 needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

NO!

Disappointed

Would you try another book from Glenn Beck and/or January LaVoy?

Yes

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

The language of the narration was way to removed from everyday; after less than a generation "bathroom" becomes "washing-up area", etc.

What about January LaVoy’s performance did you like?

Performance was fine

Do you think Agenda 21 needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No, the initial book with it's odd language was too dissappointing for me.

A book that will draw you in till the very end!!!

Where does Agenda 21 rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

It's the best book that I have read! I haven't had a book that draws you in and makes you feel like you are right there with the characters and all their emotions that they are feeling.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I loved Emmeline and how she is discovering all the changes and how she evolves to a strong woman.

Which character – as performed by January LaVoy – was your favorite?

Emmeline was the best character performed by January and her voice made her come to life.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

The Fast and Furious Future of The Unknown America

Any additional comments?

A must read for people that quench for truth and knowledge.

Wake Up!

Excellent novel about Agenda 21. People need to wake up and look around everywhere micro stack and pack apartments going up in this nation. Wildfires in large areas. This is the real deal and excellent overview at the end explains what this is about.
