Compellingly Told masterpiece.
Wow. This unsentimental but well told journey that the amazing author and excellent narrator take the reader through was enough to bring me to tears at the end.
Truly a human story that captures society at its best and worst. Vindication, redemption, hope and truth prevailing in the end. I didn’t want this one to ever end. Well done !

Good account
Not remembering this story, I was drawn to this particular Kindle Single because these events happened in Stafford TX. The story is heavy on police procedurals and how at times they make quick assessments and assumptions about how a crime occurred.

Could not put this one down
This is a well written and well performed account of a person wrongly accused and railroaded into court by a corrupt DA. I was instantly hooked by the story. Sometimes, the good guy really does win.

Should have stuck to a straight up documentary
This story adds scenes and dialogue written to support a true crime story of a Houston cop charged with murder. The investigation and judicial process parts are accurately described and informative, but the delivery method of this story crashes and burns. The creative writing parts aren’t that interesting, the dialogue is wooden, and the narrator is robotic. I would have enjoyed this better with the author reporter telling us about the case and perhaps interviewing the actual characters.
