The primary character is recovering from the loss of his wife of nearly 25 years. He uses the experience of his past to rescue a stranger and then protects that person from an attempted kidnapping. The scenes of the book are set in present-day rural West Texas with events occurring in Houston and on Galveston Island. The author uses colorful descriptions of the areas, people, and actions to draw in the listener. The story touches upon attempts to bring an old fashioned ranch into the era of "green technology" and the rancher's family's philosophy of caring for those they employ. The story line places a high value on family relationships. It also pulls in American Indian heritage as a positive attribute.

What I liked most about the book was that there was an adventure in every chapter. The narrator added a lot to the characters. Some of the adventures were a little hard to belive but still entertaining.
This is the second book I have run into Joshua Benning, the other one was Lethal Injection. He is a good voice actor and gave the audiobook more life than the written version.
I wish there were more books about older adults. I was happy to see this book had no bad langue or sex scenes. Some people may be disappointed with out the bad langueor the sex scenes but I thought the book did will without them. I really liked the narrator and hope to hear more of his books.
I liked the fact that it was a good story and it was about an older adult still having an adventure in life.
I gave this book a 5 star review because the subject was older adults and they were not reminiscing about how great their lives were but how great they were going to be. I also liked the narration. Joshua Bennington gave each character his own voice and there fore his own personality.
Sunny as performed by Joshua Bennington was very well done for a man performing in a woman's voice. He also had each character with his or hers own voice. Well done.
Over all the book was not out standing but it did broach a subject that is wide open for authors to write about. Romance in our older population. This couple was not dead yet even if they were grandparents. The story line could have been better but what held it together was the narration.that made it entertaining.
I have already recommended this book to a few of my friends. I had enjoyed it and my friends have as well. It was nice to hear a story about older aduts that did not have them almost dead but still enjoying life.
I gave this book a five start rating because I loved it. The story was unusual because it depicted older adults as still being alive and able to love again. Also. I thought the narrator did a good job with the many characters. He gave them each their own voice and personalitie..
The different characters were well developed by the author and then the narrator gave them even more development with his different voices. The whole story comes together in just a few days, but in those few days a lot happens. The chapters are packed with adventures. Most of the book is a surprise and you really don't know what is going to happen next. And then there is a fairy tale ending.
Joshua Bennington brought the characters to life and gave them more personalty than if I had just read the book.
I would recommend the book for someone who still believes in fantasies and fairy tales for older adults.
Yes, I am glad to see that someone is writing romance novels about older adults. And best of all it was not dirty. It was a little corny in spots but I told my girl friends about the book and
want them to hear it with me again.
What I liked best about the story was that it didn't have graphic sex or foul language
I found his voice to be very relaxing and smooth. It was clear and he had a lot of different voices for the different characters. It was will done!!
I would recommend this book to the older population that want a nice clean story about someone our own age.
The narrator made the reading come alive by giving all the characters their own voices.
The author did a terrific job of giving an older couple a budding love. It turns into the third marriage for both of them. May be the third time will be the charm! I liked that they did not jump into bed together before the end of the first chapter as in so many romance novel today. In fact they only got married in the last chapter.I little different book, got my recommendation.
I have recommended this book to a few of my friends. Although the characters are older it is still a love story with a lot of action.
Joshua Bennington brought the characters to life as he read the story. You could almost picture what they looked like by their voices.
In away, most chapters ended with a cliff hanger and you wound want to hear what is going to happen.
I gave this book 5 stars because it is about love in an older generation. Something we do not see enough off at the book stand. I also liked the narration, it added a lot to the story.
