Short stories, to short

The short stories were complete but it was me wanting me information. You are so descriptive and complete in your stories I wanted longer stories. Love your novels and absolutely enjoyed Corrina the baker.

Fun with Phryne

What did you love best about A Question of Death?

Loved the stories. I hadn't read any Phryne Fisher short stories before, though I've read all the novels. Thoroughly enjoyed them and especially loved the interview with Kerry Greenwood at the beginning in which she gives her MO for writing her fabulous books.

What did you like best about this story?

That there were several stories to enjoy, all new material to me.

What about Stephanie Daniel’s performance did you like?

I always love her performances with her plummy narrative voice and her skill at the different voices and accents.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Phryne Rides Again and Again and Again...

Any additional comments?

I'd love a similar collection of Corinna Chapman, Kerry Greenwood's lovable modern baker character.

Great new book by a good writer

What made the experience of listening to A Question of Death the most enjoyable?

I liked the book because of the lady detective and all the neat recipes in it. The reader captures the lady very well. I like a strong lady detective .

What was one of the most memorable moments of A Question of Death?

I always like the endings that tie all the loose threads up so neatly with a flourish.

Which scene was your favorite?

I always admire her sense of justice after finding out the who done it of the story-line.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I enjoyed spreading this book out as it was about several different cases and I sort of spaced them out to enjoy them longer.

Any additional comments?

I can't wait for the next Phryne Fisher book and what she will be up to next. I would like to hear more about her adopted family as well.

Wasn't sure about short stories but mostly Great!

The first, Hotel Splendide, snagged my interest immediately: A disappearing hotel room. Phryne encounters a woman who went out for medicine for her husband and now the husband AND HOTEL ROOM are gone! I also especially liked the tale of the son whose father gave deceased Mom's pearls, an inheritance belonging to the son, to his new lady friend. The stories didn't read like short stories but seemed fully fleshed out. Delighted I bought this book!
