Meanwhile, with a custody dispute looming, Beau's former partner, Ron Peters, is the prime suspect when his ex-wife is viciously gunned down outside her low-rent apartment. Barred from official involvement in the case, Beau's long-term, close connections to Ron and his kids suck him into an ongoing family tragedy.
Faced with personal conflicts and shocking surprises, Beaumont must struggle to solve one of his most dangerous cases yet.

Yes. Later on after a few more books we will do that.
All of it
Languages, accents and tones bring some variery to the story.
Long Time Gone sounds good
I loved the pace of the story, there was always a surprise waiting around the next page. Kept me on my toes all the way through
Sister Mary Catherine was a great character, the way she kept going right to the meat of the matter on her own and keeping everyone else on edge. She really added a sparkle to the story.
This was my first John Chancer performance, but willl definitely be watching for his name in the future books I read.
The habits of this nun will kill you!
I loved the whole thing, the story, the characters, the plot and the performance of the reader. It all came together for a great experience. Hard to put it down!
I am legally blind and talking books are the way I survive.
The story and characters were well drawn, believable and a book I found hard to put down
John Chance made Jances' book even more enjoyable.
