Publisher's summary

With help from the Seaside Knitters, Mary Pisano converts her charming inherited home into a B&B, and the first week is booked by her very own family in town to discuss their grandfather's will. Mary is hoping the tranquility of the setting will smooth over ill feelings among them. But when her cousin Pam is found murdered, she realizes she was dead wrong. With the holiday cheer severely disrupted, Mary relies on the Seaside Knitters to set things right.

A "fluff" mystery, but still good

I really enjoy this series. However, the characters don't really have good development. At least not in a realistic way. Everything is TOO perfect,TOO wrapped up in a nice neat bow. Nell has the idyllic perfect marriage to Ben with 0 turmoil ever. Cass meets a local author and falls into the perfect relationship. Izzy meets Sam and it's all perfect and roses. None of the core characters have any challenges, any real issues, any real growth. This series has such an opportunity but it really misses it. Very much fluff characters & fluff story. If you're into that you'll like this

My second critique is the fact that we as the listener are often the last to be let in on inside knowledge. The whole gang will get a clue but we won't be fully privy to it, and it's frustrating because we don't get a chance to "catch the killer" as readers

Overall it's entertaining, it was a good mystery, a good wrap up of different plot lines. I just hope for more character development as the books go on.

One great series

Can't wait for the next entry in this series. Great characters, great plots, and to top it all off - one truly gifted narrator..

Ms. McKay once again read with voices that made every character clear and distinct.

Fun series!

Everyone should be having an awesome time around the holidays, but there's gloomy air in Sea Harbor. When Mary Pisano's cousin is found dead in her backyard, the Seaside Knitters are determined to find the killer before the death can ruin the entire season.

I enjoyed this edition of the series. I am really liking getting to know all the characters and their personalities. I really like Izzy and Nell. I love the relationship they have with each other and with the rest of the people in their lives. I do keep hoping that the books will be from Izzy's point of view because of the descriptions. I feel a bit lied to by the descriptions. I'm excited to read the next one!
