    "WOW!"

I just finished the book, so I'm too moved to write much. So I'll just say that if you love dramas with great depth, honesty, and levels of uncertainty that you leave you wondefully guessing at the outcome, you'll be hard pressed to find a better book in any way. The narrator was so good that I kept looking to see if there was more than one narrator. I'm still doubtful :). This is simply one of the best books I've ever read or listened to. It has a small amount of sex, but it isn't graphic just necessary to the plot. I say that as an erotica fan, but this book did not leave me wanting in any way. I want more of this one. Enjoy.

    "Narrator Adjoa Andoh is fantastic!"

The story is good, the portrayal of layered and conflicting emotions nicely done, but the narrator is fantastic. She IS the characters. I was not aware of the narrator making an effort to "sound like" different characters, I heard their voices. Flawless.

    "Engaging story,mesmerized throughout"

I loved this book. It seems quirky at first but I grew to love the characters. Their feelings, conversations and the storyline drew me in. This is rare in audible readings.I am listening to it all again because it is a beautiful story of love, loss and missed opportunities. The 3 star performance rating is because I found the West Indies dialect, helpful to the story feeling authentic, was very hard for me to understand. I listen at night on an Ipod and the rewinding to catch phrases was a pain. Otherwise, a great selection.

    "Awesome Audio!"
Would you consider the audio edition of A Cupboard Full of Coats to be better than the print version?

Yes, the audio brings out the characters and creates an exceptional reading experience.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The narrator, Adjoa Andoh because she is the one who makes the reading experience of the story different from the printed version by portraying each character differently as presented in the story.

    Which scene was your favorite?

The end of the story when Jinx and Ben reconciled.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I was mad at Lemon in all the scenes utilizing his slyness character that took advantage of of everybody including Jinx, who was only a kid but also his friend and Jinx's mother. He was a snake!

    Any additional comments?

Having lived in England for 8 yrs and an African American, I enjoyed this novel because I could relate. The places in Engaland and a single mother who brought up a daughter with a step father made me reflect on the story.

Can you please recommend another read by Adjoa?

    Story
"a story about finding your way of forgiving"

It was my first reading here and I was lucky to choose this book. The narrator was great, his masterly manner of reading gave a convincing picture of a variety of different characters. The author went into psychological depth of each character and tried to solve the question which tormented them - how to forgive themselves....

    Story
    "Enjoyable"
Would you listen to A Cupboard Full of Coats again? Why?

Yes I would listen again as the narrator put such feeling in to a book of colour and emotion

What did you like best about this story?

The characters were full of feeling and emotion and the authors description and narrator brought it all to life

    Which scene was your favorite?

Several scenes where the main character bared soul

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

Wouldn't make a film as its never a good move as never as good as the book but you would get a fantastic film of colour and rich heart felt feelings.

    Any additional comments?

Excellent description of characters and the basic story is so believable

    Story
"Great narration, reasonable plot, lovely but sad"

Adjoa Andoh narrated this with such passion and care that I felt I was hearing our main character talking. Story was sad pretty much throughout which didn't do it for me but the story had a good plot and was quite poignant. I found it a little too detailed and too much relationship-based but that's being picky.
