With over 500 audiobooks in my library it would be difficult to place this one. Not at the very top or bottom but somewhere in the middle.
Kevin Foley did a great job with this especially since the main character is a woman.
This book has gotten some poor and mediocre reviews on both Audible and Amazon and I'm not sure why. I actually listened for some of the discrepancies mentioned (blonde hair/brown), only to hear that the girl colored her hair out of a bottle. If people would listen the story may have unfolded with a little more fluidity. I thought this was a really good fast paced book, well written, believable and completed with talented narration. This is worth the credit!
I don't think anyone, not even Scott Brick, could have made this book better!
At first I thought this book was bad because they chose a male narrator even though the main character is a female (and most of the others) however the more I listened the more I realized how bad the writing really is! I couldn't believe some of the dialog between characters. The main character was whiny, illogical, and the dialog so cheesy it made me angry. I'm not sure who should be more ashamed, the writer or me for actually listening!
