But the usual procedures aren't bringing them any closer to stopping the killings. So these women form a Women's Murder Club to collaborate outside the box and pursue the case by sidestepping their bosses and giving one another a hand.
1st to Die is the start of a blazingly fast-paced and sensationally entertaining new series of crime thrillers.

The poor narration detracts significantly from an otherwise decent story. (Per the reviews, the Unabridged version is much better.)
I am a fan of James Patterson, therefore I have an expectation when I read his books. This was a good read. I am normally good at predicting "who done it", this one had a few turns in it which had me thinking a little harder. I enjoy that level of suspense. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a murder mystery.
I started watching Womens Murder Club and when I found out this was the book that started it all I wanted to start from the begining. The story was great nice action, very detailed. Story kept you guessing everytime you thought you knew what was going to happen next you were wrong.
The story is great as all J. Patt's are. The narrator is completely monotone and makes the otherwise exciting story very boring. There is absolutely no inflection in her voice at all. Very distracting from the exciting thriller.
Not Melissa Leo
Listen to the rest as long as Ms Leo isn't narrating
This book was exciting, twists and turns kept you guessing. Narrator did a great job. Story was well written. I will definitely get the rest of the books.
