Your best friend...

Lindsay Boxer is pregnant at last! But her work doesn't slow for a second. When millionaire Chaz Smith is mercilessly gunned down, she discovers that the murder weapon is linked to the deaths of four of San Francisco's most untouchable criminals. And it was taken from her own department's evidence locker. Anyone could be the killer - even her closest friends.

Or a vicious killer?

Lindsay is called next to the most bizarre crime scene she's ever seen: two bodiless heads elaborately displayed in the garden of a world-famous actor. Another head is unearthed in the garden, and Lindsay realizes that the ground could hide hundreds of victims.

You won't know until the 11th hour

A reporter launches a series of vicious articles about the cases and Lindsay's personal life is laid bare. But this time she has no one to turn to - especially not Joe. 11th Hour is the most shocking, most emotional, and most thrilling Women's Murder Club novel ever.

Not the best

The story line was long, boring, and drawn out. Takes time to get used to the new narrator’s voice.

Narrator

After listening to Carolyn for all the previous audiobooks, being truthful and not wanting to disrespect the new narrator, it was difficult to acquaint myself to the characters in this series.
This narrators voice would be best used to do children’s audiobooks. It has a sweet tone that misrepresents Lindsey, Claire (the biggest change)
and the rest of this wonderful team.

narrator was awful

I love this series, but it was hard to get through. I hope the next book has gone back to the previous narrator

One of his Best!

it took some doing, because of all the mediocre writers these days, but I tried James Patterson, and I'm very glad I did. This book is one of his best: a nice creepy, suspenseful murder mystery. I highly recommend it!

Another Great crime solves

I loves most of it....just not the blinding drama of a bad no show of an affair. The idea of boxer having a baby is awesome!

Narration was lacking

I hate it when audio books change narrators in the middle of a series. Now you have to meet strangers trying to take the place of your old friends. The story was very good but the story teller just didn't fit. Or maybe I just didn't want her too. (Shrugs). Good book though...

Not Murder Club without McCormick

Any additional comments?

It is the story quality I have come to expect, but Carolyn McCorkmick has given true voice to the characters for so long that a critical element of the recording is missing. The overall experience is lacking and distracting without defined voices of the characters. Ms. Lavoy seems new to the role of narrator so it is sometimes difficult to discern which character is speaking. I was so excited about 11th Hour, but now I find I am equally disappointed.

Why change narrators now?

After listening to the first 10 books in this series, I was greatly disappointed to have a new narrator. I had become accustomed to the various voices Carolyn McCormick used with the different characters and with January LaVoy that was all lost. I don't know if I will continue the series on audio if Carolyn McCormick does not come back.
