Your best friend...

Lindsay Boxer is pregnant at last! But her work doesn't slow for a second. When millionaire Chaz Smith is mercilessly gunned down, she discovers that the murder weapon is linked to the deaths of four of San Francisco's most untouchable criminals. And it was taken from her own department's evidence locker. Anyone could be the killer - even her closest friends.

Or a vicious killer?

Lindsay is called next to the most bizarre crime scene she's ever seen: two bodiless heads elaborately displayed in the garden of a world-famous actor. Another head is unearthed in the garden, and Lindsay realizes that the ground could hide hundreds of victims.

You won't know until the 11th hour

A reporter launches a series of vicious articles about the cases and Lindsay's personal life is laid bare. But this time she has no one to turn to - especially not Joe. 11th Hour is the most shocking, most emotional, and most thrilling Women's Murder Club novel ever.

Maria

I preferred Carolyn McCormick as a narrator! I enjoyed the new narrator but wasn't the same!

Need a new narrator

I wanted to love the story, but couldn’t because the Narrator of the Story is just awful.

Why?????

Where does 11th Hour rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

average, not bad, not great. wish the story was better but the last 5 books in this series leave me wanting more. i keep getting the next book hoping this will be the one, this may be my last

What other book might you compare 11th Hour to and why?

the previous 4 books in the series. long slow and only a little entertaining, easy to push pause.

Did January LaVoy do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

she good but it's bad when the previous narrator couldn't/wouldn't continue on with the series. HATE IT when they change narrators. nothing against JLaVoy i'll listen to her again

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

NO!! easy to stop Harder to finish

The 11th Hour

I love this whole series and this one is the best so for, the characters are so real. I feel like I'm part of the story. James Patterson has done it again. The amount of gore and story line great. Action from the first page until the very last word.

Just Ok

I have all the book's in this series and I while I've loved all the books this one lacked something for me. For example Lindsay wouldn't handle the situation with Joe like she did in this book...it seemed pretty wimpy for her. And why did he take a laid back approach? That wasn't his character in previous books.

Like the story but disappointed in the Narration

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I'm not sure if I would recommend this audio book because of the new narrator

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I did like the different plots

What didn’t you like about January LaVoy’s performance?

I never got use to the new narrator and didn't feel like I was listening to the same characters

Any additional comments?

I've listen to all 11 books in the series and was really surprise to hear a different narrator. I didn't realize how much the narrator makes the characters until a new voice was introduced in this audio.

Boxer’s behavior so childish

The character Lieutenant Boxer spends the majority of her time acting like silly and childish in this story. Her reaction to Joe is way over the top, and none of her closest friends bother to get at the truth? To top it off, Joe’s actions are unrealistic as well. How many men would have easily forgiven what she did to him and them come running with arms outstretched? This particular part of the story took away from what could have been a good story.

Not what I expected...

After listening to the first 10, this didn't feel the same to me. Not sure if it was the narrator or the fact that the story was shorter. Definitely prefer Carolyn McCormack, she seems more Lindsay Boxer to me.
