Lindsay Boxer is pregnant at last! But her work doesn't slow for a second. When millionaire Chaz Smith is mercilessly gunned down, she discovers that the murder weapon is linked to the deaths of four of San Francisco's most untouchable criminals. And it was taken from her own department's evidence locker. Anyone could be the killer - even her closest friends.
Lindsay is called next to the most bizarre crime scene she's ever witnessed: two bodiless heads elaborately displayed in the garden of a world-famous actor. Another head is unearthed in the garden, and Lindsay realises that the ground could hide hundreds of victims. A reporter launches a series of malicious articles about the cases and Lindsay's personal life is laid bare. But this time she has no one to turn to - especially not Joe.

Up there in the top 10 books
It's another fast paced novel for James Patterson as we are reunited with the foursome of the "Women's Murder Club" in the latest installment "11th Hour". In 11th Hour , we learn that Lindsey Boxer is pregnant with husband Joe's baby , Cindy is engaged to Rich Conklin , Yuki is sleeping with Lindsey's boss Jackson and of course Claire is well Claire. As we most of James's novels there are a couple of twists and two main storylines . The first is that somebody is killing all the scum of the street - Drug Dealers galore but when one of the dealers is killed and turns out to have been an Undercover FBI agent , the race is on and it is discovered that the killer known as "Revenge" could very well be not only a cop killer but a cop itself and the top of the suspect list is Lindsey and Rich's ex-partner Jacobi, Can the pair prove Jacobi's innocent and track down the real killer ? The other story is that in one of the poshest estates - a couple of skulls were found and then eventually it is discovered that the backyard is like Skull heaven as in total seven skulls are found . Who is the mysterious killer and where is the rest of the bodies ? If solving these cases weren't hard enough , Lindsey is having problems and fears that she may lose her job and she has no-one to talk to when a female co-worker of Joe's lets her on a little secret relationship she had with him.

Find out in Eleventh Hour by James Patterson and Maxine Paetr
I enjoy January's performance
"the best read"
I have either read or listened to everything that James Patterson has written. I must say that "11th hour" is up there with the very very best, Patterson and Paetro have pulled out a high class thriller which was quite frankly superbly read by January Lavoy. I hope January reads all the forthcoming womans murder club books.
The English accent is not great, no one in the U.K. actually sounds like dick can dyke from Mary poppins!!
"Nice but not special"
Enough to keep me going to the end but not special.
not sure why it needed 119 chapters and struggled with the narrator's voice when doing male parts.
"Great read again"
Once again I have enjoyed the murder club read not one of the best from the series but a good one all the same.
"James Patterson at his best"
The story starts very well and got me gripped almost immediately and I couldn't stop listening to it. The person reading helped give the characters more believe ability by changing her voice for each one. Talking deeper for men for instance. Her English accent, however, did make me smile as it wasn't quite right . The plot was very good and I had no idea who did it until it was actually revealed.
"an easy listen"
As an avid James Patterson fan I was looking forward to hearing one of his books. The length is disappointing as quite short at just over 6 hours but nevertheless an enjoyable story.
