For every secret....

Detective Lindsay Boxer's long-awaited wedding celebration becomes a distant memory when she is called to investigate a horrendous crime: a badly injured teenage girl is left for dead, and her newborn baby is nowhere to be found. Lindsay discovers that not only is there no trace of the criminals - but that the victim may be keeping secrets as well.

For every lie....

At the same time, Assistant District Attorney Yuki Castellano is prosecuting the biggest case of her life - a woman who has been accused of murdering her husband in front of her two young children. Yuki's career rests on a guilty verdict, so when Lindsay finds evidence that could save the defendant, she is forced to choose. Should she trust her best friend or follow her instinct?

There's a different way to die....

Lindsay's every move is watched by her new boss, Lieutenant Jackson Brady, and when the pressure to find the baby begins interfering with her new marriage to Joe, she wonders if she'll ever be able to start a family.

With James Patterson's white-hot speed and unquenchable action, 10th Anniversary is the most deliciously chilling Women's Murder Club book ever.

SORRY - SORRY - SORRY

In the past I read the "Women's Murder Club Books" and always enjoyed them, but they were complete. This book told 3 stories and got up to chapter 64 before it quit to go to another part, BUT THERE WERE NO OTHER PARTS, so I was left hanging. The book never finishes tying up the stories. I really was disappointed in this book. I guess I keep buying them because I keep hoping for the oId James Patterson. I guess he just keeps popping them out to get as much money as he can before he retires, while delivering less than satisfactory material. He's just selling his name it seems. I'm sorry, but it will probably be the last James Patterson book I give him money for.

Not as good as usual

I have enjoyed Women's Murder Club books in the past, but this one was a disappointment. Firstly, there were 3 loosely connected cases, only one of which was given enough attention to really get connected to. In that main case the characters were so briefly described that it was difficult to feel immersed in the story or feel for the characters, but at least they had a tiny bit of back story provided. Not enough. As for the other cases, not even close to enough. Secondly, I lost my good feeling for two of the main characters, Lindsey and Yuki. Yuki, whom we are supposed to believe is good-hearted to a fault, was consumed much more by her own ego/time spent developing her case, than she was in considering whether she had the right suspect. She seemed like the worst of what you sometimes see in ADA's more interested in building her reputation than in the facts of the case. Lindsey spent no drop of empathy attempting to realize the reality of a 15-year-old taken advantage of by an adult, and expressed many times her contempt as though this child were an adult perpetrator. Late in the book she showed a similar contempt and lack of empathy for the main character's motivating forces.

I wouldn't have been surprised if this book had been written by a male author alone, but having a co-author who is a female surprises me. I don't want to end up feeling more anger and disconnection from the affectionately portrayed "good guys" than I do for the "bad guys" in a book of this genre. I think I'll save my money when the next iteration is published.

I really enjoyed this!

Narrator was excellent! And I loved picking up Lindsey Boxer's life and story again. Thoroughly enjoyed the way the 4 friends stories picked up as though we hadn't had a lapse since the last book ~ which we have! Wish this author would stop messing with other stuff and keep writing for these characters! I don't think there was a false note here and I greatly enjoyed the book.

Disappointed

Not nearly up to par with the earlier series books. Just seemed to ramble too much. Get it from the library but don't spend cash on it.

10th Anniversary

Have read all the books in this series and was waiting for the new one. Was great to meet up with my friends again. Wish Patterson had only one story going instead of three cases going at once. I do realize in the real world a police officer is working on many cases at one time. I had pictured Yuki with more self confidence than was displayed in this story. The balancing of the three cases was a bit jerky the writing could have merged smoother. Carolyn McCormick did a great job narrating the story.

Very Disappointing

First review I have ever written on Audible! I was really looking forward to the book, which makes this book even more disappointing. The writing is bad, short sentences, poor descriptions and just plain old bad. Lindsay and Joe have no chemistry as they use to. Same with Cindy and Rich. No depth to the writing. The narrator is great, however, which keep me going. I wish I didn't even read this one. I really think Mr. Patterson needs to take a year off and stop pumping these books out. Take the time and write it YOURSELF!!!!

enjoyed visiting with the girls, but....

I enjoyed the visit with the girls and loved the peek into what is going on in their lives, but sadly it just seemed like a sample. I can't imagine a reader that is not already familiar with the Women's Murder Club getting into this story. Those of us that have been following along for years, will enjoy the update.

Well, that was a disppointment...

To sum it up in one word, "bland" would do it. The characters are flat, the language uninteresting, and the plot failed to hold this reader's attention. When the reader is not annoying, she is merely dull. If you're looking for something to read on the plane or the beach, this might be for you.

Reads like a Screen Play

Any additional comments?

Mediocre story by Patterson in the ongoing series of the Women's murder club. The production is annoying with sound effects and background music although the narrator is adequate. Story is actually interesting if the delivery wasn't so contrived. As I have said a million times, the stories always read like a screeenplay for television series.

Not Completely Dazzled by this one

I have enjoyed most of James Patterson's Murder Club books. This one didn't seem to have the edge his others had and unfortunately, the narration made it even harder to listen too. Carolyn McCormick seemed to make all the women seem whiney and week instead of strong and forces to be reckened with. It's a shame because I've been looking forward to this book.
