fun cosy mystery great naration

l loved being transported to Scotland while listening to this series.it was just delightful fun.

Love the way several storylines are tied together with interesting characters! thoroughly enjoy the narrator also!

Enough mystery and humor to keep us entertained and guessing. Yes, we did know who the killer was, but it was still a relaxing read.

Fun Story

This my second book of this author and I’m really enjoying the series . It’s a great fun woman’s detective adventure. The narration is wonderful ! She has a super accent for all the characters. I will be buying her next book in the series . This is a clean story without any smutty none sense !!

Enjoyable Characters

Back for round 2. Overall, very fun and it is great good continuation from the 1st book.

Personally, I do not feel the detective jobs were as solid as the 1st. But I did like the countryside setting, I did like seeing the return of a certain character (beyond Maud and Daisy).

I do feel that this is turning into a very enjoyable series. I see I have 1 book to go, but I do hope that Lydia Travers continues to write the series.

As with the last book, Helen McAlpine is an outstanding narrator. A winning performance!

Love Daisy’s traditional Scots speech…

But it’s really hard to understand to an ear that’s unaccustomed to it.

Maybe if I saw the text at the same time as I heard it, it wouldn’t be so difficult for me, but that defeats the purpose of an audio for me. Audiobooks are frequently read (at least by me) so that I can read a book anywhere, including driving and doing housework. Because it doesn’t fit those parameters, I may not continue with this series in audio.

Another Winner

Ms Travers does not disappoint with this second volume devoted to Maud, Daisy and the mysterious Lord Arteck. The cast of supporting characters and the necessary villain comprise a fun assortment of Scottish turn of the century prejudices. discovery of modern improvements to free women from household drudgeries and the vagaries of the younger generation to break away from their parents.
