Publisher's summary

A quiet English village is plagued by a fiendish serial killer in Queen of Mystery Agatha Christie's classic thriller, Murder is Easy.

Luke Fitzwilliam does not believe Miss Pinkerton's wild allegation that a multiple murderer is at work in the quiet English village of Wychwood and that her local doctor is next in line.

But within hours, Miss Pinkerton has been killed in a hit-and-run car accident. Mere coincidence? Luke is inclined to think so - until he reads in the Times of the unexpected demise of Wychwood's Dr. Humbleby....

Excellent narration of this twisty story

This narrator makes Agatha Christie sound new again. She’s particularly excellent with dialogue. Not only are the characters’ voices distinct from one another, but the timing is spot on. From the first conversation in the book, she invests dialogue with a freshness that makes it sound modern and relevant.

This is a stand-alone novel, with lots of twists and turns, misdirection, and a creeping sort of dread as the reader wonders if the characters will catch on in time.

The crimes are wicked, the psychology is twisted. This is Agatha Christie at her best.

Pretty good

Pretty good mystery read’s easy, another sleuth trying his hand in solving murder. But it’s female intuition prevails

Thoroughly enjoyed!

This is my first Agatha Christie that's not a Poirot/Marple and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it! Recommended for anyone looking for a crime solver with good, clean fun.

Good Christie story, good narration by Whelan

An enjoyable Christie story. This is supposedly a Superintendent Battle story, but he doesn't come in to it until the end. Gemma Whelan does a good job with the narration.

great Agatha Christie story

Interesting, engaging, clever, well-narrated Agatha Christie story. Not the usual protagonists, either. I recommend it highly!

good story not a great narrator

this narrator didn't do anything terrible, she just wasn't very good. she sounded wooden and spoke very slowly. the story was typical Agatha Christie though without either of her two main protagonists whom I missed.

Awesome

One of her best mysteries I’ve heard. I didn’t know who done it until almost the ending.
