I really didn't know

If I was throwing away my money on this book, and the accents took a few minutes to get used to, but once I got past that and just started enjoying the story - I was hooked! The plot is twisty, turny, improbable and FUN! Yes, I got annoyed with the main character a time of two (or three) but I figure she'll learn to trust her own instincts in future books. Future books which I intend to buy and enjoy.

Great book and Performance

What a great performance and book! Well developed characters. The storyline was great with some twists all paired with the perfect narration! Definitely left me wanting more audible books for this series.

Please make the rest of the series available in audio! I get so much done because I can't take my earphones out with this book on!!! This series is like Mary Kay Andrews meets Tim Dorsey meets the X Files! Narrator is excellent. A+++++++!!!!!!

Great entertainment!

I enjoy cozy type mysteries esp during the turmoil in our country, this fit the bill very well. Very different and unexpected. The actor made some of the southern voices sound ridiculously ignorant but other than that did a great job. I will def be looking for the next in this series!

I made it to chapter 44 and couldn't finish it

I don't know that the story is bad, but it definitely did not hold my attention. I gave it an honest try and by chapter 44, I realized that I only have so much time in a day and why waste it on something I just don't like when it's for entertainment. The narrator does a fine job. A bit exaggerated, but I'd listen to her on something else. After listening to this audiobook for several hours, I still don't know what it's about or if there is a mystery to solve. Everything just keeps seeming imaginary, with no real ties to each other. I have read other books by this author and thought they were ok, but I won't be going any further in this series

good, but the main character annoyed me with her squeamishness and lack of common sense. an FBI agent would not be calling a civilian for help, or sobbing at murder scene of someone he didnt know.

I think I know these folk

at first the southern drawl was a little much but as I settled into the story it became evident it couldn't be read any other way. I laughed out loud. living in small town florida as a young person I felt like I has met these characters. light hearted good story.

I love this book!

And this is every bit as fun as good old Stephanie Plum!

Hilarious southern mystery

I loved this funny, engaging and uniquely interesting book! I wish there was more from the series on audible.
I have ordered the next book in paperback form.
