I recently had the pleasure of listening to Modern Etiquette Made Easy. I must say, it was a transformative experience. In this captivating guide to social etiquette, I discovered a multitude of behaviors that were in dire need of improvement, as well as a wealth of invaluable insights that reinforced the importance of good manners and kindness.

The author's ability to navigate the intricacies of social interaction with finesse and clarity is commendable. Throughout the audiobook, I found myself reflecting on my own actions, realizing that there were indeed areas where my etiquette fell short. The author's guidance on various social situations, from dining etiquette to proper introductions, provided me with a clear roadmap to rectify these shortcomings.

Manners and Charm

This book provides basic steps for good manners and charming behaviors (evoke a positive emotion in others). There are a few tips that were new, such as not starting a thank-you note with the words "thank you." Instead, start with "I was so excited to receive..." or "The... has been on my wish list for so long." The author also provided simple scripts for more formal occasions, such as at a dinner party and asking your host "Where would you like me to sit?" (as your host probably wants people with some common interests to sit together).

Grammar Matters

While interested in the content, I felt the grammar could be improved. Not in a stuffy way… simply accurate.
