Publisher's summary

There was Butch & Sundance and Bonnie & Clyde.... Then, there was Pack & Elliott; two wayward tricksters who have run out of time.

The American frontier, after the turn of the century, is a place of increasing change. The loose and wild ways of the Old West are being pushed aside by, what some consider, a more modern mentality. Happening upon a windfall of stolen money, partners Pack Stevens and Elliott Wayne have to decide whether to turn in the loot for the reward, or take it on the run. With the questionable loyalty of old friends and a posse, hot on their trail, life and times seem simpler under Mexico skies....

An entertaining listen

We've seen the westerns on TV, on the big screen, and this audio-book is a well-rounded classic just the same. I aim to listen to a classic western novel each time I drive off chasing the sunset through the Western frontier. This audio-book took me through Utah, New Mexico, and West Texas. It was good to have company on such sparse trails.

This book slid nicely between my listening to Louis L'Amour, Elmore Leonard, Hemingway, and John R. Erickson (Hank the Cow Dog for my kids). Some heavy hitters in this list indeed, but the author of Mexico Sky is building his repertoire out nicely, and this one earns a place in the library.
