Together, the three of them travel south to Prism Lake for the upcoming holiday, where they plan on spending the sunny weekend drinking, grilling, and relaxing. But when a series of monstrous blizzards cover the Eastern United States in feet of snow, knocking out communications and making the roads impossible to drive on, they realize their weekend of fun could turn into a lifetime of survival.

Interesting take on a “alien invasion”
I can see Hollywood turning this into a movie. As a matter of fact, this is similar to a couple of alien movies already out there. I found this enjoyable, and interesting the way the alien life evolved. The ending was very Hollywood like lol.

Not what I was expecting
Lose/lose situation, that was mildly entertaining for the price (free). Too much of an attempt to discuss “the science” and not enough character development. Of course nobody lived long enough to have much time for that anyway. Good thing, kept me from getting attached before they all bit the dust. Just a quick question…….how do these blood suckers survive on an asteroid in deep space prior to entering our food rich planet? And how will they survive once they’ve killed us all off? Terrifying outcome, but too many holes the the story line. I’d feel cheated if I’d paid for it, but on the other hand some of these shorter books have a place.

what a great sci-fi horror!
I really enjoyed this story. it is a pleasure to see a good sci-fi horror that didn't have zombies or dragons or other such nonsense. a most excellent listen!
