Gunther never fails

I can’t get enough of Joe and his team! This was yet another great book by Archer Mayor and narrated by Tom Taylorson, I don’t know what a Gunther novel without Taylorson would be like! It certainly wouldn’t be the same!! Nice that Joe and the Doctor are still together and Gail is gone!! Hopefully more Gunther books will come out soon, it drives me batty having to wait

The whole series 32 great mysteries

After buying the first book of this series, I found to my wonderment, that most of the rest of the series is free with the audible membership. Great character development, no two books alike, I felt like I dropped into Christmas. This gift could not have happened at a better time.

For me real life has become a mess of lies, fake news, greed and an apparent total lack of any kind of moral code or ethics even those who have taken a public pledge to be faithful to democracy. As the air we breath becomes more polluted by a virus we can't see, humans core of selfishness has grown faster than the bug. Citizens total lack of knowledge of even basic principles of civics and science seems unconscionable to me.

In the books only the “bad guys” are the liars, cheats, and I don't give a D--- about the rest of the country, I hope our society can be better than this.

I just hope in real life this doesn't just happen in Vermont.

I want to cry!

I have read and absolutely loved every one of these books! They are intriguing, straightforward, and easy to listen to. Good police procedurals with a great cast of characters. Willy is almost human. Joe is Joe. And everyone else is still inquisitive and intelligent. The two young girls, Sally and Rachel, are almost too clever for their own good but definite assets to the story and the outcome.

As usual, the "bad" guys are not necessarily the baddies, and some of the "good" guys are...well you have to read it. It is a Family Tree that has more gnarls and offshoots than you can imagine, finally Lester collects samples to create a true bloodline - who is really related to whom?

If Archer Mayor ever decides to write another book in the series, I will be his first reader.

I did not see that coming…

Again, the VBI and a Rhoadie (Rhode Island cop) had them cold (with a little help from an almost step daughter and daughter of a C. I….) Mr. Mayor spins a fine tale that is always entertaining. One more book to go before I will be jonesing for another. I might have to find Snow Blind (2012) and Crosscut (2019) to fill the gap. Audible, can you get those on your service? I would love to hear them.
Tom Taylorson is one my top 3 narrators.

Really good , twisty mystery!

I hate when the Joe Gunther stories end! I like them so much. The stories are great and I’m in love with all the regular characters. Archer Mayor is an amazing author. He keeps his characters very real and believable. And always Tim Taylorson is the best reader! Thank you again , gentlemen!

An awesome story

The latest and long awaited for novel in the Joe Gunther series,and definitely worth the wait. As always, the story was riveting. And Tom Taylorson gave another excellent performance.
A definite must read.

The end (do far) of a great series

I came upon thr Gunther series when I noticed how many were included with my membership. that was 9 months ago and I plowed thru all 32. Most of the not included titles were on sale, and I only used a handful of credits. overall, so excellent series, and I'm sad it's over, hopefully for just a bit.
