Unbiased Review

I enjoy classic stories but sometimes have trouble actually sitting down to read it. This is the perfect solution. It was super easy to get into the story with how it was read, and they are great stories to begin with. The bonus of having it be a collection is awesome because there is more to listen to.

Twain is great, but...

It's a box set, so to speak, so the price is good but the performance is a little stiff.

First sentence of every chapter?

Enjoyed this audiobook but found it frustrating since the chapters are not organized by book titles/chapters for each book in this collection. We were using it for a book study and it takes a little guess work to figure out where you are. Titling it with the Book and the first sentence of every chapter would be helpful!

Narrator’s whistling “S” made listening unbearable

I only listened to about three pages of this and found myself cringing every couple of seconds due to the narrator’s high-pitched S whistle. I tried it on different devices, using different sound settings. It’s was piercing and unbearable - which is unfortunate because I otherwise enjoyed his voice tone and inflection. I just couldn’t get through it.

Reader’s age

The reader’s voice was that of a much older person than that of Tom or Huck. Not believable? Ethan Hawk’s was perfect!
