    "Sublime farce"

This is a wonderful surprise. After buying the Naxos Beckett trilogy (Molloy, Malone Dies, The Unnamable), which I have replayed on countless occasions, I looked forward to their issues of further Beckett titles. Unfortunately they chose to put out the familiar theatre pieces which are cheaply available on DVD. I was hoping they would give us the riotously funny early novels and the beautiful short fictions such as the Stories and Texts For Nothing.

This version of Murphy is an unabridged rendition of the text, with each of the characters voiced by a different actor. It works superbly. The outrageous Irishry of the humour is a total delight.
