Our actions are shaped by how we perceive the world, and these days our perception of reality is relentlessly shaped by the media. Audible Editor Reviews

Deborah Willoughby, founder of Yoga International and president of the Himalayan Institute in Pennsylvania, gives listeners a wonderfully insightful lecture on media, information, and myth. In a modest, conversational style, Willoughby digs into the consequences of the fact that Americans get much of their information from television. Advocating more direct, community-based methods for finding out what's going on in the world, Willoughby uses personal anecdotes to illustrate the joys of being awake, conscious, and open to living in the present moment without media interference.
