A heart to protect. A debt to repay. A game to win.

After being swept up in the magical world of Caraval, Donatella Dragna has finally escaped her father and saved her sister, Scarlett, from a disastrous arranged marriage. The girls should be celebrating, but Tella isn't yet free. She made a desperate bargain with a mysterious criminal, and what Tella owes him no one has ever been able to deliver: Caraval Master Legend's true name.

The only chance of uncovering Legend's identity is to win Caraval, so Tella throws herself into the legendary competition once more - and into the path of the murderous heir to the throne, a doomed love story, and a web of secrets...including her sister's. Caraval has always demanded bravery, cunning, and sacrifice. But now the game is asking for more. If Tella can't fulfill her bargain and deliver Legend's name, she'll lose everything she cares about - maybe even her life. But if she wins, Legend and Caraval will be destroyed forever.

Welcome, welcome to Caraval...the games have only just begun.

Keeps getting better and better

Spoilers: So this second was mainly is a story of Donatella and Legend, her quest to find Legend so the basis of this story is like in the first book she got a letter from her friend like asking to claim his debt on her. Because from the first book it turns out it was Donatella’s plan to get Scarlett and her to go to the caraval and just to escape their abusive dad and she made a deal with this guy and we she doesn't know who is it. So in this story they went to another Kingdom another place where it's like the Queen's Birthday and the queen asked Legend to do another game of caraval for her. As the story goes, we realized that there’s friction and chemistry between Donatella and Dante and then she met the Prince of that Kingdom. So there's this one scene where earlier on Dante and Donatella were sleeping together and because of that something happened and then Donatella was like denying it in front of Scarlett and that kind of pissed Dante off. So, Dante made a prank where he told the maids and the staff that Donatella is the fiancée of the Prince. So, the Princes has a reputation of being cold and like to murder people and that really sets the story. And when that happens, there was a ball, and she met the Prince and the danced. Suddenly Donatello felt that she might be falling for the Prince and then during the dance the Prince was kissing her and she felt like a bite on the Prince and there was blood and then suddenly reveals that he was the Prince of hearts which is like a form of entity called the Fates and sort of like the villain of the story and so the Prince of hearts, his case is little so if he kissed someone that person will die. To avoid that Donatella needs to do his bidding and it turns out that the Prince of hearts also knowns as Jacks, is the friend that wanted to claim the death and he wanted legend to die. And it was later found out that Jacks’ heart starts beating when he kissed Donatella which means that Donatella is his one true love. So, we get to see this like love triangle between Donatella, Jacks and Dante. At the end of the carnival game it says that the first face when she wins the game is Legend and it turns out Legend is Dante. And then to get to the point of winning Donatella and Dante needs to do something and Dante needs to sacrifice something which in the end when Donatella win, Dante was kissing her but it was a goodbye kiss and they left the story like that like Dante living like that and yeah we continue on with the next story.

WHO IS LEGEND?

This is my favorite sequel all time. I loved Caraval and I don't know how Stephanie Garber managed to top it. I'm soo in love with the world, these characters, the shocking plot twists, magic and mind games and this goes on and on. I really loved Tella as a main character.
This time it's set in a different town, different rules, different stakes. Is it a game or is it real???
THE MAGIC!!
This time we have cursed cards and Fates who are trying to be let free. And also there's the eternal question of: WHO IS LEGEND.
The last few chapters had shook me. I mean he was LEGEND fine and then LEGEND was who? what? OMG ( sorry cant give away the end!) I am destroyed.

That was legendary

In the beginning, when I realized that book was from tela point of view, I was disappointed, but I believe I was wrong, tela was better main character then scarlet, she was fireless, and heart touching, and now it feels like Caraval was just introduction for tela’s story, that was definitely not finished.
And the narration was amazing too.
