When the moment for Gene to take Nancy to her desired death in Coffeeville arrives, she is unexpectedly admitted to the secure unit of a nursing home, and he has to call upon his two remaining friends to help break her out: one his godson, a disgraced weatherman in the throes of a midlife crisis, and the other an ex-army marksman officially dead for 40 years.

Wonderful Read - Great Story and Characters

Read it from audible.com with a fantastic narrator. This book is on par with The Help and Water for Elephants. A lot of funny dialogue caused us to laugh out loud. Heart warming, funny with a strong undercurrent of very serious, poignant happenings. Heart wrenching. Just one of those rare finds I almost didn't buy. Kudos to J Paul Henderson for writing a wonderful, masterful story full of great characters that we liked so very well. Note: one has to stick with the first 30 minutes at the beginning, then off you go! My husband and I both really enjoyed this read.
