If you're looking at this program because the title implies that this program is easy and lots of fun, look elsewhere! I was expecting a light delivery, humorous anecdotes and mnenomics. Instead I found this to be one of the dryest and fastest paced programs I've ever heard.
This book is better for someone who already knows a good deal of german and wants a rapid fire review. Or if you find programs that pause so you can repeat or guess the phrases annoying, you may like this format. But if you're like me and need to really think through and repeat a phrase for it to sink in - you'll be left in the dust with this program. I must admit that the downloadable .pdf file is a nice feature. My guess is that this program was designed for print, and squeezed into an audio format as an after thought.

I consider this book to be a bit too difficult for complete beginners but it can be very useful for those who already have some understanding of German language and want to refresh a little bit the basics. I learned German for 4 months a few years ago but by the time I bought this course I did not remember much of it. This course gave me a chance to refresh what I learned a long time ago. Plus the vocabulary with all the dialogues and words written down helps a lot!
Say something about yourself!
I like that it includes a downloadable PDF file to read.
This works like Pimsleur, with dialogues. I would like it to be a lot longer though.
"Plug the gaps with this complete course"
I really like this. Having completed all of the Michel Thomas titles (Foundation, Advanced, Language Builder & Vocab course) I still felt there was something missing...and here it is. Simple to follow, with a downloadble PDF guide that you can print out. Criticisms? It's a bit cheesy here and there with the game show voice-over-man doing the narration (if you've done the Pimsleur course, its the same bloke) and they still refer to the Mark rather than the Euro, other than that its perfectly functional. Content: A good balance of useful stuff, oh! and don't be fooled by the 'level 1' tag. This is straight into the good stuff. Simple enough for the absolute beginner and useful enough for those that have done quite a bit of German language study before. All round a good buy.
