All the stupid jokes by the narrator reduced my ability to absorb the material and only served as a distraction from learning

i have been learning Spanish every week for the past 2 years. This is the best thing I have found for sentence structure and so much more! Even for first time beginners it is great. For vocabulary the “Drops” app is my personal favorite ^_^ Happy learning!

Best Spanish tool for me

This is the second medical Spanish audiobook I’ve listened to and one of several Spanish self-learning tools I’ve used. I love the format and simplicity of this audiobook above all other Spanish resources I’ve used. The information is broken down in detailed but manageable chunks. The author actually explains the Spanish grammar rules rather than simply saying, “This is how you say _____.” The narrator also spells out many of the words. This is great for me because I’m an audiovisual learner, so I love being able to visualize the words while I listen.
Additionally, the book includes many great mnemonic devices (“tricks”) for remembering vocabulary, which is the hardest part of language learning in my opinion! Overall, an invaluable resource. I’ve now downloaded the second volume in this series and am excited to continue learning Spanish in this way.

Next level

I've been studying Spanish for quite some time, and I feel like this audiobook has helped me advance to the next level quickly.

Edit: After purchasing some other audiobooks, it's clear that this book is designed to be an audiobook. it is far superior to the others I've purchased. As someone who is trying to learn to SPEAK Spanish, this books seems to do the best when helping with that.

awesome book

amazing format of 15 or so chapters. gets right to the meat of what you need to know. good for beg or int levels.

areas of improvement: less pause time, didnt seem like written by a med professional by some of the phrases taught

Worth the time!

I enjoyed this book. Always wanted to improve my conversational Spanish when working as a physical therapist. Ironically I'm using my Spanish most with my coworkers at my facility as I only have a few Spanish-speaking residents here. The narrator was fantastic with really great diction and toward the end of the book even before she would say the Spanish word, I already knew how she was going to say it with proper accent and emphasis.
