The Pimsleur® Method is scientifically proven to be your fastest route to near-native fluency. Spanish Level 3 includes another 15 hours of spoken language practice and one additional hour of reading instruction and is designed to be used after completion of levels 1 and 2.
The beginning lessons of level 3 offer you the chance to expand your vocabulary and increase your fluency to an even higher level. You'll gain experience participating in many informal and some formal discussions on practical, social, and semiprofessional topics. You'll skillfully form longer, more complex sentences, and, most importantly, you'll find yourself being understood, even by native speakers unused to dealing with foreigners. You'll be able to join in conversations effortlessly, confident of being understood.
In the next 10 lessons of level 3, your skills will show ever-increasing mastery of the language. Speaking with grace and complete naturalness, you'll enjoy fluid conversations on many new subjects. Delving deeper into cultural norms and situations, you'll find yourself responding effortlessly and able to choose from a wide accumulation of vocabulary and structures.
In the final 10 lessons of level 3, you’re nearing fluency, with agile responses and a natural-sounding, near-native accent. You're able to utilize the language in subtle ways and speak using past, present, and future tenses. Self-confidence soars as you experience the language and culture no longer as a foreigner but with a deepening insight into an expanding new world.
Reading lessons are included at the end of lesson 30. These 20 lessons (approximately one hour) are designed to give you practice reading Spanish and to provide vocabulary. Before you know it, you'll be reading Spanish with the ease and flexibility of a native speaker. A reading booklet to be used with the audio lessons is also included in PDF format.

"Pimsleur programs provide plenty of positive reinforcement that will keep learners on track, and we found that Pimsleur gave us more proficiency and confidence in speaking the new language than any of the other language programs we reviewed." (AudioFile magazine)
Reading, the arts and physical activity clarify, explain, illustrate, and interpret life’s goods and bads.
Pimsleur Digital language learning is the best semantic instructional tool in the marketplace, bar none. That is not to degrade Rosetta Stone, also a fine learning product, its just that I find Pimsleur provides an even better inculcation of the language. The program contains thirty minute lessons or conversations in which one must partake.
The sessions start with a short conversation in the subject or to-be-learned-language which one must listen to; are relative easy to hear and usually understandable, although in the subject language. Imbedded in that conversation are elements of past and the upcoming lesson. Then one goes through sentences in your native language and are asked to – based on past learning sessions – speak the subject language. After you have had your opportunity the program speaks the sentence you verbalized or should have spoken. Often, the program will give you new words or idioms in advance but for the most part one is expected to learn the words from their conversational context. It works! One’s mind begins thinking in the subject language. Each lesson is repetitive but not annoyingly, rather in a supportive fashion. Each successive lesson builds on prior lessons and are almost always referring back to much earlier lesson content.
It is not only instructive but fun. Of course, just abstract learning in not enough. One must find himself/herself in conversational context with the language in everyday life. Short of that opportunity the product is exceptionally good.
I credit Pimsleur for being able to test out of a Spanish class even though I had not worked with Pimsleur.for years. they introduce present, past, and perfect tenses by using model words in conversation. You are tested continually but so that you are very often right .. positive reinforcement very positive very nice. Every day I take my mp3 player for a walk.
A firm intermediate level for conversational Spanish. The best way to learn. Only takes 30 min./day.
If it was paced more like previous lessons and more attention placed on pronunciation and new concepts before racing to the next.
I will probably continue to struggle with the next twenty lessons in the level I have already purchased - The first two levels were paced NOTHING like Level Three. And pronunciation guides were better and more repetitive.
Is this not exactly like the question I was just asked - I'm starting to get really irritated.
There is a concept called positive reinforcement - that is enhanced when I give a response that is exactly right - the differences in the levels of positive reinforcement I get from Lesson Nine to Lesson Ten are quantum in their differences - from being at least somewhat pleased with my progress I am presented with a lesson that introduces me to vocabulary and tenses with only the briefest of pronunciation help and this is followed by about 30 calls in a row for a correct response that totally eludes me - that I cannot get right - and reinforces how much I do not know about this new language and how exceedingly difficult it will be to learn - if that is the Pimsleur Method then they succeeded quite well - if the Method is meant to bolster confidence then they fail miserably in Level Three. Lesson 10 is like a quantum leap from lesson 9 in complexity after having become accustomed to the pace of the other 70 lessons which preceded it. At the end of Level Three - Lesson Ten I felt like I had just gone 15 rounds with Mike Tyson whipping my non Spanish speaking ass every time I tried to give a response..
