Publisher's summary

Use your mind's natural rhythm to learn a language with Rhythms Easy Danish from EuroTalk.

It's naturally easier to learn something when it's set to rhythmic music, so that is exactly what we've done. Rhythms put your mind painlessly to work: you don't even need to focus! Simple words and phrases are set to a varied pattern of rhythms and music designed to help you learn and to keep you engaged so that you won't just switch off after five minutes. It won't get you fluent, but it will give you an easy road into starting to learn a completely new language.

If you just want a few simple words and phrases before going abroad, Rhythms is all you need. It covers absolute essentials such as how to greet people, basic directions, getting around, food and drink. You'll hear Danish spoken by both a male and a female native speaker and there will be plenty of opportunity for you to test how well you're doing with the review stages built in at key points in each track.

Rhythms can be used anytime, anywhere; listen in the car or on the train, walking the dog, doing housework or exercising at the gym. Absorbing a language couldn't be easier and EuroTalk Rhythms has over 120 different languages to choose from.

From our customer reviews: "Finding out about EuroTalk has allowed me to try and learn the language... at my own pace and in my own time. I do not have to wait for a private tutor or for a college to open its doors." "I just can't believe I have progressed as far as I have in such a short space of time." "A great starting point for anyone of any age at all. It makes language fun instead of dull or intimidating." "Made learning a pleasure."

Helpfull!

This is a good choice if you like the Pimsleur method, which I do!
The word is first said in english and then is repeated 4 times in danish (2x female voice, 2x male voice), you have the time to repeat it with no rush right after.
I think it's a good way to build up a solid vocabulary,
3 stars only as I'd preferred the music to have a lower volume as I found the volume to be a little to high. Need a better voice/music volume mixing!

Helpful

Would you listen to Rhythms Easy Danish again? Why?

Yes! As a self-teaching learner beginner of Danish, I'm open for all and everything instructional;I can get my hands on. I found the content helpful, although some od the listings and words seem a little odd and misplaced! I also would have liked more or some situational phrases and conversation. But all in all for the money and audio length.
VERY USEFUL

What other book might you compare Rhythms Easy Danish to and why?

The EARWORMS Audio languages are vastly more superior and are the ground zero for beginners.

Which character – as performed by Jamie Stuart – was your favorite?

WHAT?

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

NOT PARTICULARLY EMOTIONAL STUFF!

Any additional comments?

I don't see how the previous two question comment areas relate?
