An interesting and sneaky way to support a language learning strategy. Here though, instead of serious concentration on grammar or the absorbtion of new words, you simply relax and get on with something else while the audio book (which is set to ambient music) plays on in the background. Needs many listenings to make an impact but the phrases and conversations seem to enter into memory at a subconscious level.
If you are a "right brain" learner, you will love this program. The musical beat drills the spanish phrases into your mind. You'll find yourself repeating them throughout the day whether you intend to or not. Great way to learn fast.
It is OK to learn a little bit of Spanish to visit Spain. The accent is Castillian which for someone like me in California is not what I would wish for. Not good if you want to actually learn a lot of Spanish but it is OK so you know how to order some food or take a taxi or other tourist stuff.
Earworms Spanish 2 is a good continuation of #1. They use new music on this audio book - spanish guitar, which is lovely. I was glad that it wasn't just the same recycled music tracks from the first one. Some of the tracks reminded me of Cafe Del Mar cd's that were so popular in late 90's. They continue to build vocabulary and teach useful travel phrases. I got 1 & 2 together for the price of one, which was a good buy. I've listened to 1 & 2 several times and it is really sinking in. I use these while cooking dinner and folding laundry - perfect companion.
Excellent wait to learn Spanish. I have tried a lot of Spanish learning programs, and this is the first one that feels fun and not like a task that I want to avoid. So I look forward to it and am learning much more.
I wish there was more of these lessons, but find them very helpful. The tracks help one to understand individual words and how they relate so it's more than just learning phrases
I have some background in Spanish language, and I found this to be useless. The background music was annoying, and I did not find the phrases to be particularly useful.
"RADID SPANISH VOL 1/2 REALLY WORKS VERY WELL!"
If you want an audio language course that is pleasant to listen to,stays in the mind with little effort, and is usable in 'real life situations', this is it. Personally I can't wait till volume 3 comes out (hopefully).
I normally CAN'T be bothered to write a review on the product I purchase unless it is exceptional, that's --- VERY GOOD OR VERY BAD.
"Spanish in a hurry"
I've used earworms language learning before for holidays, downoad, onto iPod and listen in the car on the way to and from work.Their products are easy listening and effective - they don't work for me after the first time but they do work! Give it a go, you won't be disappointed - useful phrases and lots of chances to practice!
"Simple tourist stuff and really annoying"
The music they play all the way through is really annoying and the content was really simple should ber aimed at beginners maybe it was and i didn't read the write up properly
