Critic reviews

"Pimsleur programs provide plenty of positive reinforcement that will keep learners on track, and we found that Pimsleur gave us more proficiency and confidence in speaking the new language than any of the other language programs we reviewed." ( AudioFile magazine)

German Pimsleur

What made the experience of listening to German Phase 1, Unit 16-20 the most enjoyable?

It expanded on the previous books and provoked recall of words that might otherwise have been forgotten.

What does the narrator bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The sounds of the words.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

No, Much easier to do a little at a time.

Any additional comments?

I am surprised that I remember the words so well.

Best way to learn a language

This program is one of the best ways I’ve found to learn a language. I’ve learned Spanish this way and now German. One thing though. If you get the program from Pimsleur itself there are other bonuses that I didn’t know about.

Good program for speaking

The program emphasizes on speaking. But as the content gets more complicated, it would be better if the speaker could explain the grammar more
