"Wouldn't most guys love a no strings attached hook up?"
"Maybe, but most guys don't deserve you. I want to be one who does. And I want to be all tangled up in your strings."

Newly arrived on campus, I knew two things. 1) No one could know my dad was the president of the university and 2) football players were bad news.

My run in, the literal kind, with my neighbor cranked up the heat and sparks flew. A new college campus. A secret bound to explode in my face. And a football player neighbor who is bad news in the best of ways. Reid Riddick was hotness personified, so of course I literally ran into with him - well, more like he plowed into me. I didn’t know he was a football player when I started falling and now I can’t stop. A stolen kiss later and my heart races whenever he looks at me from across the quad.

But my secret would spell disaster for him.

I’m the daughter of the college president. The college president who’s been feuding with his football coach for years. Their bitter campus war leaves us teetering on the edges of a divide we can’t see a way across. Resisting him is more than I can handle. He’s risking it all for me. His team standing. His football season. His pro future.

Throw in a campus gossip site. My out of control new friends. His way too hot roommates. College traditions. A secret campus bar and the only guy who’s ever made me feel like he can’t live without me. And I have one last secret.

Our star-crossed love is my first and I want him to be mine.

Enjoyable start to the series!

Maya Hughes is one of my absolute favorite authors, so I was excited to dive into Kiss and Tell, the first book of the St. Francis U series. And I thought it was a great way to kick off the series! I've both read and listened to the story now, and I really enjoyed getting to know Reid and Leona and watching their relationship develop. They were obviously attracted to each other from that first meeting, but Leona is hesitant to start anything with anyone (with who her father is on campus)......and Reid knows that football players getting involved with anyone can lead to some serious consequences (because of the jerk they have for a coach). But these two keep finding themselves around one another and give in to their feelings.

I do think the first part of the story moved a little slower for my tastes, and it took me longer to get fully invested in the story. But once it picked up, I couldn't stop reading. I am definitely curious about all the side characters that we were introduced to, and I really hope there's a comeuppance for the coach.

Overall though, I really did like the story and I thought Reid and Leona were great together. And with the added narration from Stephen Dexter and Desiree Ketchum, it really brought the story to life. Both narrators did a fantastic job with the characters, and I think had I listened to the story first - it would have definitely made me feel different about the story. Definitely looking forward to more in this series, as I'm super excited to see how she makes me fall for this group of characters, just like she did with the Fulton U gang.

Loved it! Great start to a new series!

I recently had the opportunity to listen to the audio of Kiss and Tell by Maya Hughes and I could not stop listening. Narrated by Stephen Dexter and Desiree Ketchum, this story introduces us to the St. Francis U world and I am all here for it. Up first is Reid and Leona and I just loved them. Reid’s life has been all about football. He has a plan and needs no distractions. Then he meets Leona and he can’t stop thinking about her. Leona has a secret. She is the daughter of the President of the university, the same man who has a hate/hate relationship with the football coach. Not really a match made in heaven, but the heart wants what it wants.

I just loved these two. They had a great connection and chemistry from the start and I loved reading their interactions. They were just so adorable together. But circumstances that surround them means they may not be together, right? But what happens when they can no longer deny what they feel? I loved Kiss and Tell by Maya Hughes. It was a great introduction to this new world and I am so excited to see what is next this group of football players!

Happy listening!

Sweet and Steamy Sports Romance

“Nothing ever distracted me like this, but somehow she had.”

Nobody does college football like Maya Hughes!!! Kiss and Tell is the first book in a new series about St. Francis U which is Fulton U’s rival (so fun!). We’ve got a whole new group of football guys and I can’t wait to read each one of their stories.

“For once, I’d found someone I connected with as naturally as breathing, and she was the one person on campus who could derail everything I’d worked for.”

Kiss and Tell is Reid and Leona’s story. Reid prides himself on being totally focused on football. He refuses to allow any distractions in his life that could detour him from obtaining his goal to be in the NFL. However, when he “bumps” into Leona, that rule goes out the window. Instantly drawn to each other, Leona and Reid find it difficult to deny their attraction to each other, but when they realize that their relationship could affect other relationships and goals in their lives, can they remain just friends?

“I’d never felt this way about anyone before her and I didn’t want to find out if I could feel this way about anyone after her. I only wanted her.”

Reid and Leona are adorable. Their banter was so fun and their chemistry was on fire. They can’t stay away from each other and they have to learn how to stand up for themselves. I loved watching them realize what is important in life!

Stephen Dexter and Desiree Ketchum provide the narration for Reid and Leona. They are both wonderful and made the story come alive. I love how the emotion of the story was showcased in their voices.

Kiss and Tell is a wonderful start to a new series and Reid and Leona are perfection. This sweet, steamy, and beautiful story of love and acceptance has a lot of heart with a smidge of angst. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Narrators nailed it!

I loved the narrators chosen for this epic STFU book 1. Reid and Leona’s characters were performed to a T bringing the funny to life, the swoon to the 10th power and the sexy vibes off the charts. Their meet cute is my fave! I love my FU characters but this couple and the secondary characters have me intrigued!! I look forward to more from this new series. This is one for NA sports romance lovers. Stephen Dexter and Desiree Ketchum has made this book even more enjoyable than I expected because reading the ebook was good but this audiobook was great!

Great intro for a new sport romance series!

I absolutely devoured this audiobook, it was even more entertaining than the ebook version. It amazes me how stories change when we have a different method to read it, 100% love the audible version more than the paperback. Don't get mw wrong both are great, it's just that this version was a whole new level of amazingness!

So excited for this new series! A great start!!

Squeeeeeee!!!!! A new college football series from Maya Hughes! I can’t handle it! I immediately fell for Leona and Reid. I loved how they literally ran into each other and the sparks just flew and never settled. Leona has some secrets through. She’s the daughter of the president of the college. The president has been feuding with the school’s football coach. Seems like no biggie until you find out Reid is a football player. BTW none of this is spoilers, it’s all in the synopsis. Anyways, Leona also made a promise not to date a football player. And wouldn’t this be the way it goes?!?!

I could not handle their banter and fun. The close group of players all had my heart and I am absolutely giddy with the prospect of having all these guy’s story. Anyways, this is a steamy romance with a forbidden aspect with secret rendezvous. However, it’s also a slow burn and makes you yearn for that first kiss because Hughes makes you wait for it! The narrators, Stephen Dexter and Desiree Ketchum are magnificent! They both added this element of emotion to the story that you would miss by reading it.

Great series start

Kiss and Tell, the first in a new series jam-packed with everything I expect from Maya Hughes. As the first couple in the series, Reid and Leona have set the bar high. Their story is super sweet and just as sexy. It's a bit of a when you know, you know kind of love, and these two certainly know - even when they pull away to keep their secrets. True to form, Maya gives us all the feels, from laughs to swoon to heartache, it's all there in spades as this couple figures things out. They have terrific chemistry, and that conclusion was absolutely perfect (no spoilers, you'll have to see for yourself). So, here we are with a brand-new series, and we're off and running. In addition to this lovable couple, there are some great secondary characters who I'm sure will get their turn, and I can't wait.
That's what I had to say when I read the ebook of Kiss and Tell - so yes, I knew what was going to happen before it happened, every twist, every heartache, every swoon-worthy bit, even the blood, sweat, and tears on the football field. Did that lessen my enjoyment of it? Not a bit. I already enjoyed the story, and Stephen Dexter and Desiree Ketchum just added an extra layer to it. The story is done in dual POV narration, and both narrators give a terrific performance. From Maya's sarcasm and wit to all the feels in this love story, Dexter and Ketchum capture all of it, and it comes through loud and clear. So, Kiss and Tell was already a great story, now it's also a great audiobook, and I'll be revisiting both versions when I need some sexy romance.

The perfect beginning to a new series

Nobody does college Football romances quite like Maya.

With the perfect bland of witty, sweet, angsty and a little forbidden, Kiss and Tell had me hooked from the very first word.
Reid and Leona were just so cute together and their attraction and connection was completely palpable, despite their differences, they just fit perfectly and I couldn't help but root for them.

One of the best things about Maya's storytelling is the way she creates groups of friends who are tight knit and supportive. All her characters grow and develop throughout every book in a series, whether they are the MCs or not, and I can't wait for more of them.

Listening to this book on audio made me love it even more. Narrators Stephen Dexter and Desiree Ketchum manage to bring to life not only the main characters, but the entire cast, giving each of them a unique feel and with so many new characters, that is a special feat!

5 stars and a Lego set
