Publisher's summary

In ancient Egypt, the venom of a strange, hooded serpent connects two souls.

Reincarnated over and over again, their fates are forever intertwined. In times of both war and peace, one is fated to be the maker of kings and the other the narrator of their shared history. Soon, the two will have to face the one inevitable thing in their existence: Change.

From Egypt 2500 BC to medieval Scotland and hundreds of years into the future, the plot of this damnable play never changes.

Fascinating Thread Through History

This book kept my interest because the narrator, Michael Brandon Johnson, brought the stories to life. I understood every word clearly, it was read at a speed I could process, and the narrator's voice was calm, smooth and soothing. The narrator subtly voiced the different characters and his intonation rose and fell as the plot unfolded, which kept my attention and interest throughout. This book begins with the narrator in the first person as the protagonist, describing current life upon arriving on a new planet in 2500 AD, then remembering eons back to the pivotal event-the very beginning of the journey many lifetimes ago- when their fate and the fate of another were changed and intertwined forever by supernatural cobra venom in 2500 BCE. As a lover of world history, ancient civilizations and science fiction, I found descriptions of the different civilizations fascinating, and each lifetime was very well fleshed out. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
