But it was Louis Armstrong's own passion and genius that pushed jazz into new and exciting realms with his amazing, improvisational trumpet playing. His 70-year life spanned a critical time in American music as well as black history.

We've listened to many of the "Who Was" books as a family. They always provide for an interesting listen and I find myself learning things along w/ the children. It's a great way to supplement their history lessons at school.
