"Children will embrace this accessible, timeless story about the evil of greed and the joy of gratitude." (Booklist)
I am so excited finishing this book. It is like a all-star Chinese fairytale, the main storyline is well designed, and many Chinese folklores are smartly integreted within. Even supporting characters are famous and have their own wonderful legends, that why I call it all-star. I love the book.
I was intrigued by the book from beginning to end not wanting to put the book down. I Love Minli the main character and all the different stories in the book. The narrator did a great job all throughout the story, however my only disappointment was that It skipped a part on one of the chapters and went directly to the next. That was really weird but overall the book it self made up for it because it's amazing!
totally worth everything! I can't stop playing it. if you get any book get this one. the narrator is perfect the story is beautiful. I am just speeches. buy this now.
I purchased for my son, he likes anything w/ dinos and dragons. This is a great story for kids, he is mad I only let him listen for 15 min before bed.
My children (9, 6, 3) were all invested in the book because there are many stories within the the book. All were highly descriptive with a very likable main character.
She was able to perform many character voices without being campy. Never distracting from the story itself.
Yes... and no. We don't hang out in the car that long!
Such a touching and captivating story from the beginning. We listened with our 7yo son and he loved it as well. The reader's voice made it that much more enjoyable
