A great read!
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
I am a horse lover so I especially appreciated the human to horse bonds described in the story. Also, because it was from the horse's point view, I was reminded of Black Beauty which I read as a child. This story is great for a young person or adult especially if you are an animal lover.

Sweet but shallow
What made the experience of listening to War Horse the most enjoyable?
War Horse provides a limited peek into the history and horrors of war, especially World War I.
What three words best describe John Keating???s voice?
John Keating's voice is a trifle overbearing.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
No, I had no difficulty in listening to this book in short sittings.
Any additional comments?
My primary reaction to this book is that after finishing it, I never thought of it again. I did not particularly care about the characters. The story was shallow and faded.

This is a great "feel good" story.
I love it when the underdog ends up on top! I was rooting for Joey through the whole story. Even when it seemed as if the happy ending was a sure thing, the author threw in one final loop that kept me on the edge of my seat. Well worth a listen!

Wonderful Story!
My 10yr old daughter & I enjoyed this wonderful story. told from the perspective of a horse from 6months old through WWII being used by both the Germans and the English.
