Publisher's summary

Bradley Chalkers IS the oldest kid in the fifth grade. He tells enormous lies. He picks fights with girls. No one likes him - except Carla, the new school counselor. She thinks Bradley is sensitive and generous, and knows that Bradley could change, if only he weren’t afraid to try. But when you feel like the most-hated kid in the whole school, believing in yourself can be the hardest thing in the world....

I loved it

I liked how Bradley changed. I also liked the book that the counselor gave him.

GREAT BOOK

I think it was a wonderful story great for young children and over all my favorite characters were Bradley,Coleen, and Carla they were nice and friendly to everyone at the end. I believe Carla helped Bradley behave better than what he started out with

Sensational

Listening to this book brings me back to 5th grade when my teacher read the class this story. Great narrator, great words, great lessons to be learned.

Love it!

We have listened to it twice in the last 2 weeks. Entertaining for 7 year olds and their mother.

Great story of friendship and self esteem

Realistic story and easily identifiable emotions and situations for kids. I disliked the voices you can hear in the background of the recording.

Best book

This book is great one thing I really like is that it has a new kid and he is nice but makes a funny mistake.
But one thing that is weird I think some people might not understand (trust me this was confusing to me) is that Bradley is always changing his attitude. I love the book you could listen to it 100,000 times and it will always be interesting I have listened to 100,000 times and like I said the book is still fun! It's for all ages

Great for my 8 & 6 year olds

My son sometimes struggles to get along. This book was very relatable for him and my 6 year-old enjoyed it too!
