Bradley Chalkers IS the oldest kid in the fifth grade. He tells enormous lies. He picks fights with girls. No one likes him - except Carla, the new school counselor. She thinks Bradley is sensitive and generous, and knows that Bradley could change, if only he weren’t afraid to try. But when you feel like the most-hated kid in the whole school, believing in yourself can be the hardest thing in the world....

I think it was a wonderful story great for young children and over all my favorite characters were Bradley,Coleen, and Carla they were nice and friendly to everyone at the end. I believe Carla helped Bradley behave better than what he started out with
Neonatal nurse. Voracious reader. New to audiobooks but I'm learning to love 'em.
Lionel Wilson is the PERFECT narrator! He really brings the characters to life. I wish he had narrated more books but I'm grateful for this one book that he's voiced and that I listen to every year. <3
My grade school teacher used to read this to our class and I remember it being the first time I fell in love with a boy named Bradley Chalkers, a fifth-grade bully with low-self esteem who learns to love himself. It's a heart-warming story that brings tears to my eyes every time I listen to the book. Tears of joy, of course!
This book is great one thing I really like is that it has a new kid and he is nice but makes a funny mistake.
But one thing that is weird I think some people might not understand (trust me this was confusing to me) is that Bradley is always changing his attitude. I love the book you could listen to it 100,000 times and it will always be interesting I have listened to 100,000 times and like I said the book is still fun! It's for all ages
I really enjoyed this story. If you don't believe me call my mother!
Enjoyable for all the family.
