Because I never heard it read by this narrator! I downloaded this for my daughter, hoping for the silly song - like quality I recall from my childhood. This narrator only emphasizes the morbidity of this story. Not sure how to feel about this!
This book is cute for children. The reader is amusing to listen to. My son really like the book and has listened over and over again in the car.
Funny; Simple; Classic
It's a classic story that is the perfect length for my three year old. Stuart Binder does a great job - it's the perfect tone for small children and keeps them engaged.
My daughter asks for this each time we get in the car. She can also recite the entire book by memory. Not just the book, but the tone and inflections that Stuart Binder gives in his performance.
The narrator was exciting and the story was funny.
This book made me laugh allot.
I recomend this book for anyone who has kiids or may be in a bad mood.
I read this book to my kids who knows how many times. I changed the words to the story and became different characters to add more comedy to the book, my kids laughed. But the real story is not bad at all and the performance was fantastic! Loved it!
As the same as my review for "the little red hen"...does not show pictures of the whole book..stays on the first page.
"Update on a old tale"
For 35p it was a bargain ..my granddaughter enjoyed it
Some of the added effects were at bit corny
